Brian Waterman

Associate Senior Project Manager

With nearly 40 years of experience in engineering and surveying, Brian Waterman has devoted over 33 years to the specialized field of wetland resource delineation and mapping. His expertise spans methodologies established by the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) and the Army Corps of Engineers (ACOE), ensuring precise and reliable assessments. Brian’s dedication to ongoing education in environmental science has solidified his reputation as a leading wetland delineation and permitting consultant.


Extensive Project Experience

Brian’s portfolio includes:

  • Roadway Embankment Design and Construction: Supervised designing and constructing a 30-foot-wide roadway through federal and state wetlands, facilitating access to a 75,000-square-foot office building.
  • Flood Storage Monitoring: Conducted long-term monitoring for wetland impacts related to flood storage at a residential subdivision in Manchester-by-the-Sea, MA.
  • Wetland Restoration and Erosion Control: Oversaw restoration, erosion control, and construction monitoring for residential and condominium projects in towns like Westborough, Shrewsbury, Sturbridge, Grafton, Worcester, and Manchester-by-the-Sea, MA, working closely with Conservation Commissions and MassDEP.


Environmental Services Expertise

Brian’s skills extend to preparing, submitting, and presenting environmental filings to local Conservation Commissions and the MassDEP. His work also includes peer review services, and the preparation of Wetlands Restoration and Compensation Plans, Site Plans, Single-family and Definitive Subdivision Plans.


Innovative IT Integration

As the firm’s IT liaison, Brian combines his field surveying expertise with advanced computer-aided design (CAD) techniques. His proficiency in Windows platforms, server interfaces, and CAD software enhances the firm’s technical capabilities and project efficiency.


Outside of Work

Brian enjoys spending quality time with his family and embracing the outdoors when not at work. An avid hiker, fisherman, and boater, he relishes activities at the beach, on the lake, or in the woods and mountains. A fan of the Bruins, Patriots, live music, and classic muscle cars, Brian’s interests reflect his passion for adventure and community.
