Project Director/Business Development Manager
Michael comes to us from Florida where he brings more than 35 years of experience as a Landscape Architect and Certified Arborist. He has worked on a wide range of projects for a diverse clientele and has always strived to achieve the balance between development and nature.
Michael works closely with the senior staff and the rest of the team to maintain and develop client relationships, keep current and new projects on track, and provide knowledge and experience in navigating the production and permitting process. He has put his years of experience to work in the field, along with residential, commercial, retail, and municipal design, and project management.
Michael’s projects have ranged from small parking lot layouts to PUDs and big box commercial developments. Some of the large residential developments in Florida have included Versailles in Wellington and Hunter’s Run in Tampa, as well as affordable housing projects in Fort Lauderdale and Bradenton. Residential clients have included Lennar Homes, Transeastern Homes, Centerline, DR Horton, Altman Development and Housing Trust Group, to name just a few. His commercial experience has included projects throughout the state of Florida for Costco, Rooms to Go, Floor & Décor, TD Bank, Chase Bank, Hilton, Dunkin Donuts Publix Supermarkets, Aldi, Stiles Development, Edens, plus municipal clients such as the City of Oakland Park and the Florida Department of Transportation.
Throughout his career, Michael has worked on all aspects of landscape architecture. Ranging from initial site visits and analysis, tree inventory and assessment, to landscape, hardscape, lighting, irrigation design and project management. As an ISA (International Society of Arboriculture) Certified Arborist, Michael has also been involved determining the health and condition of select trees on site, as well as inventory and appraisals which are used to determine the tree’s overall value and viability. Michael has also worked closely with civil engineers, architects, surveyors, and landscape contractors, in addition to developing and maintaining excellent relationships with municipal staff throughout the state. These relationships have helped to ensure that the project runs smoothly from the initial concept through the approval process.
When away from the office, Michael enjoys spending time with his wife and their two dogs, family and friends. You can also find him most weekends on one of the many mountain bike trails in the area.
